We come from all around. We come as ordinary people trying to figure out who Jesus is and what it means to follow him. We come with our questions, often we come with our doubts. But we come because Jesus invites us.
New Song began in a living room in 2011 as an eclectic group of folks made a commitment to be a biblically-faithful, Gospel-Centred church that serves its community in Port Perry. We quickly moved into a school gymnasium where we worshipped for over a year before moving into our current building (formerly an Odd Fellows' Hall, which we think is quite appropriate for us) on Simcoe Street in 2013.
As a parish family we've enjoyed seasons of growth and success, and we've also experienced difficult seasons of hardship and loss. But our conviction is the same as the Apostle Paul's, "what has happened... has really served to advance the gospel" (Philippians 1:12).
Now New Song is adventuring into a new chapter of renewal and revitalization, where "things which were cast down are being raised up, and things which had grown old are being made new" (The Book of Common Prayer 2019). Here we see new opportunities to serve our community and make a difference. And we are seeing new faces, new families and newly baptized Christians joining us in this adventure. We celebrate this adventure, because it is here that people meet Jesus and lives are changed.
We want to invite you to adventure with us. Come and join us in the deep and formative rhythms of our liturgical worship. Come and receive God's gift of grace in his Word and at his Table. Come take in a glimpse of heavenly beauty through music and visual arts. Come with your questions. Come with your doubts. But come, because Jesus invites you.
Join us every Sunday at 10 am. You can contact Pastor Creighton here, and sign up for our parish's eNewsletter here.
