Tyndale University College is pleased to announce that internationally renowned author, essayist and painter Michael O’Brien will present a lecture entitled ‘The Role of the Christian Writer in an Age of Illusions,’ at 7:00 pm, [DATE CHANGE] Thursday November 8th, in Tyndale’s Van Norman Chapel. Mr. O’Brien is perhaps best known for his novel series, Children of the Last Days, though he has published prolifically; his latest work is a series of personal tales entitled Father at Night and published by Justin Press. He is also highly regarded as an artist, painting in a striking Neo-Byzantine style. Finally, Michael O’Brien has established an international reputation through talks, essays and his art in which he traces a decline in Western culture towards new and insidious forms of secular totalitarianism: a totalitarianism licensed by the cult of supposed moral neutrality and ambivalence.
This lecture is open to the public and Tyndale University College would like to welcome you to a stimulating lecture by one of Canada’s foremost Christian voices.
