At New Song we believe that the Gospel isn't good advice or what God expects from us; the Gospel is the Good News of what God has done for us in Jesus.

So every Sunday we gather to hear God's Word proclaimed through Scripture reading and through faithful, biblically-sound and applicable preaching.

Check out our sermon podcast (search "New Song Port Perry" wherever fine podcasts are downloaded) and listen to some of our latest sermons on our YouTube Channel.

The Certainties of God (2 Corinthians 4:13-5:10) The Christian life is a life of ambition and courage; our ambition is not to please ourselves but to receive God’s approval, his “well done, good and faithful servant.” And Christians find courage, the Apostle Paul understands, in three certainties about the resurrection: (1) we will share God’s … Read more June 9, 2024

“Do You Love Me More Than These?” (John 21:15-22) Here we see Jesus recommissioning Peter by asking him the simple but weighty question, “do you love me more than these?” These is a question we all need to ask ourselves. The Upside-Down Life (Romans 8:11-17) It’s often said that the true way to live life is to do whatever feels true to you. The Christian life is considered upside-down to many, but why? What if it provided the true way we are supposed to live, in relationship with the Triune God. Speaker: Curate Matthew Usherwood

Acts: Bold Witnesses (28:16-32) Finally! We’ve journeyed with Paul across the Empire and all the way to Rome, anticipating sharing the Gospel of Jesus with the Roman Emperor himself (or so Paul hopes). Acts: To Be a Christian (Acts 25:23-26:1, 4-29) “In a short time,” King Agrippa asked Paul, “would you persuade me to be a Christian?” But what does it mean to be a Christian? Acts: “What Shall I Do, Lord?” (22:1-22) It’s so easy to fall into a gospel of law or liberation. But both are in fact not good news.
